If after you have watched this video, you want to start your toddlers off with home schooling give us a call. Early-childhood foundation is the key. Not all children at the same age are at the same level why sing ABC and colour all day, when they are capable of blending letters, and making their own colouring book. Just an observation.

Whose Child is it anyway?
Often times the name brand secondary high schools do not recommend the student to sit a particular subject, if they do not have an acceptable grade ( whatever that is). This is done not in the interest of the child, but of course to protect the IMAGE of the schools.
On the other hand you do have parents who decide that their child will not take an exam, eventhough they are recommended by the teacher.
As a tutor and a mother I do understand both sides. However, the child must have an input.
I was not recommended for Spanish CSEC exams (in my time it was CXC, I'm not that old) while attending high school. However, my mother allowed me to take it privately and of course I was successful.
We have to look at the learner. Some are motivated by the challenge, some just need the extra help from a tutor, while some just have no interest in that particular subject.

As a tutor I am fully aware of the many hours of extra lessons these students have to endure. Then why is it so hard to believe that these students were just prepared.

To homeschool or not to Homeschool, that is the Question?
www.facebook.com/Holmes.Andre#!/pages/High-Flyer-Tutoring-Service/314152841929338Late last year when then Minister of Education and Prime Minister announced that he is now homeschooling his boys, there was an uproar.Well! I do understand what the uproar was for. Obviously something must be wrong with the system that he himself was in charge of. It made me think of the scenario where a mother would force her child to eat vegetables, but she wouldn't. It really seemed like hypocrisy.
However, as a tutor I do support homeschooling. It is said that four hours in the classroom is equivalent to one hour of one to one tutoring. There is an environment of inclusion and the lessons are individualized.
I too homeschool my son Seth and I must say I have no regrets.
